OMT Goals

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy is the neuromuscular re-education or repatterning of the oral and facial muscles to promote optimal growth and development of the facial structure and airway.

Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders stem from dysfunction in the facial muscles which can lead to problems breathing, eating, sleeping, and other daily functions.

Our goals are to promote an optimal tongue rest posture, establish nasal breathing, promote optimal chewing and swallowing pattern, promote lip seal, and correct noxious habits.
