Meet the team behind your healthier habits.
Kayla Keep
Hi, I’m Kayla.
Orofacial myofunctional therapist and registered dental hygienist. Public health enthusiast. Mom of two and proud dog-mom to Bailey, our sweet and sassy pup.
My journey into this work began with a personal mission: helping my own kids breathe, sleep, and thrive. That search led me to myofunctional therapy — and everything changed. Not just for them, but for me too. I opened my practice in 2021 and haven’t looked back.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Public Health Nutrition (with a Biology minor) from Kansas State University, an associate degree in Dental Hygiene from Central Community College, and completed my orofacial myology training through the IAOM. I’m passionate about continuing education and finding new ways to support patients of all ages.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me outside with my husband Nathan and our two kiddos — riding bikes, playing in the backyard, or walking with Bailey. I love a good sourdough project, knitting during Nebraska winters, and yes, listening to podcasts like the total nerd I am.
Whether you're here for yourself or someone you love, I’m so glad you found us. You’re in kind, capable hands, and I truly can’t wait to meet you!
Theresa Pena
Hi, I’m Theresa.
Registered dental hygienist. Myofunctional therapist. Outdoor enthusiast. Lifelong learner.
I’ve spent the last 27 years in the dental field — starting as a dental lab technician and eventually becoming a registered dental hygienist on the Central Coast of California in 2004. Throughout my career, I’ve cherished the relationships I’ve built with patients and colleagues alike, and I truly believe that connection is key to great care.
My passion for oral health led me to study myofunctional therapy through the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT), where I continue to grow and learn. Helping people create healthy habits and improve their overall wellness brings me so much joy.
Outside of the clinic, I spend as much time as I can outdoors with my partner, Larry. We love kayaking, birdwatching, and exploring the natural beauty of California together. I’m honored to be part of the Prairieland team and look forward to supporting you on your journey to better health.

Could not recommend Kayla enough! She helped me decrease my snoring significantly and helped discover I had a tongue tie! She has a great sense of humor and makes each session light-hearted.

Working with Kayla was great! She is very knowledgeable and was readily available between sessions if I had questions…she also fixed her tongue posture/thrust as an adult and it was nice to have a therapist who had been through the process herself!
